• Anti-Climax Boss: Sadly, despite the heaps of praise sent towards the special story, all of its boss fights are considered this. It mostly comes down to the lack of even a single Quick Time Event throughout, as battles such as Merz's Susano'o could've been significantly more climactic if they had that special Cyberconnect 2 flair to them.
• Tainted by the Preview: When the first trailer dropped, many people were unhappy due to the trailer making the game look like nothing more than another reproposition of the Naruto story through the four main Storm games, something that was already done through Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Legacy. It doesn't help that official infos did state that the game will include an additional extra story and that more characters will be added to the roster, yet only Indra and Asura were shown in the trailer outside of footage from previous entries.
