- Values Dissonance: In one excerpt from The Billy & Gilly Show, Billy says that homosexuality is obviously an illness and "should be treated as such," and Gilly agrees, "I think the trouble is they haven't found the right way to treat it, yet." This could be the author making fun of those views, but the next chapter has Gilly seducing a very stereotypical Camp Gay man and instantly turning him into a manly heterosexual.
