YMMV / My Wife is a High School Girl

• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: While maybe not everyone sees it this way, the story had considerable potential. It could have shown a flashback sequence telling us just how Kyosuke and Asami managed to get married under such unusual circumstances in the first place, and then end with both a literary and sexual climax, namely her graduation from school and subsequent consummation of the marriage. Instead, the story begins in the middle and ends in the middle, leaving a whole lot of dangling threads. Why, oh why couldn't we have had a full story arc?
• The Scrappy:
  • Sasuke, for his Dirty Kid tendencies, and being an active nuisance to Asami and Kyosuke.
  • Toru Yano, a Manga only character, earns to some hate for creating a Love Triangle of sorts with Asami and Kyosuke, which ends up creating much conflict for Asami. And then he confesses his love for her. It gets worse when it turns out that Yano is merely projecting his love for his stepsister onto Asami, and tries to force himself on her. Asami forgives him too easily, and he gets together with his sister and they leave to story, which no doubt left many happy to finally see him go.
