- Alternate Character Interpretation: Does Mina genuinely reciprocate Takuma's feelings? Or is she just an unfeeling machine who play-acts as a wife because Takuma ordered her to do so? Or does she think that she is just acting on his orders, but actually loves him without realizing it? At several points, she outright says that she is just trying to fulfill Takuma's desire, but there are hints she is a lot more human-like than would appear at first glance.
- Base-Breaking Character:
- Mamoru, the egg-like robot who gets adopted by Takuma and Mina as a son. Some readers find him cute and endearing, and see his adoption as an important step in the two leads' relationship. Other, however, consider him a Small, Annoying Creature (especially with his tendency to screech loudly at the smallest provocation), and dislike how his introduction changed the family dynamic between Takuma and Mina.
- The robot high school club. Some readers heavily dislike the club, seeing them as a Spotlight-Stealing Squad, which takes away from the cute slice-of-life relationship between Takuma and Mina, in favor of interpersonal drama and convoluted philosophical debates.
- Fan Nickname: The series is occasionally called "Robo Wife" on 4chan.
