• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • Some fans believe that My Little Pony: Pony Life was created when Pinkie Pie got ahold of Discord's chaos magic near the end of "The Ending of the End Part 2". Here it's shown that the series was born when Discord returned the Elements of Harmony to their rightful place in history in order to Set Right What Once Went Wrong.
  • The Apple Lord being a ponified Dio Brando has sort of come full circle with the addition of the DLC character Texas in Them's Fightin' Herds, which did start out as My Little Pony: Fighting Is Magic. The kicker is that not only is he voiced by Dio's English Voice Actor, but there's even some Actor Allusion for one of his attacks, right down to sometimes saying "MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA!"
• Nightmare Fuel: Each volume has its own scary moments.
  • The first chapter has Pinkie Pie falling through a magic mirror into a world filled with cookie craving zombie ponies. While in the episode they came from was all a prank, here it's implied they are very real as Pinkie notes when she arrives that this world's Ponyville is desolate with boarded up ruined houses, destroyed fences, and a gloomy looking sky.
  • Chapter seven of volume 2 has Pinkie about to be executed by guillotine after ending up in a alternate version of Prance and upsetting its citizens. Though it becomes Nightmare Retardant when she keeps dodging the blade.
  • In volume 3, Nightmare Moon uses her magic to choke the life out of Twilight and her friends.
