  • Lucy breaking up with Mercy at the climax. Done out of bitterness that Mercy has been neglecting her? Out of disgust at Mercy cheating on her boyfriend with her? Or done so Mercy can live her happy, successful life and burning bridges so Mercy won't miss her?
  • Lucy and Mercy setting up a date at the end of the film. Just a friendly check-up, or are either one of them still planning to rekindle their relationship?
• Best Known for the Fanservice: The movie's quiet release after languishing in release hell has left its legacy mainly through Internet skin sites promoting the film's steamy sex scenes between Elliot Page and Kate Mara, with scene prints available even before the theatrical release.
• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • Elliot Page and Kate Mara play the two lovers. Page would later admit that he and Mara were in a relationship in 2014. Like Mercy, Mara was also in an active relationship with a man, Max Minghella, while dating someone else, although Minghella knew and gave his approval.
  • At one point, Mercy lip-syncs to Duffy's "Mercy", specifically the lines "But you got to understand that I need a man", to Lucy. Lucy's actor Elliot Page would later come out as a transman.
