YMMV / My Daemon

• Creepy Cute: Anna, full stop. Could also count as the ugly kind.
• Moral Event Horizon: Uraga, the Daemon expert from episode 2. He starts rather sympathetic when he saves Kento and Anna from a daemon, and the only seemingly dark side about him is that he, like most experts, treats his own Daemon rather poorly even though the Daemon clearly loves his master. He is then revealed to have a noble goal; he has a little brother who is suffering from an unspecified illness, and Uraga hopes to not only be able to pay for his treatment, but also make enough money to stop being a Daemon expert and along with his brother open a small store. Hence why, when he learns about the large reward that is offered for Anna, he decides to capture her. From here however he gradually slides futher into villainy when he first has his Daemon Baron attack and seemingly kill the two truckers that hired him for protection, and then begins to relentlessly chase Kento and Anna. He firmly crosses the horizon when he tries to casually run Kento, a child no older than Uraga's own brother, over with a truck, and would have succeeded had Anna not quickly created a hole for them to hide in.
• Ugly Cute: Anna looks like a small dog with lots of eyes. While clearly a monstrous creature, she is also cute. In-Universe Kento also considers her cute.
• The Woobie: Kento, full time. Not only he is ostracized by his peers and his community for being a weird but sweet little boy with an adoration for his Daemon pet, Anna, but he also lost his beloved mother, after she protected him from a bounty hunter, which drives him in a quest to find a mean to bring her back to life. Whenever someone brings up the possibility that there’s no way to bring her back, his reaction is denial. Furthermore, he’s constantly on the run, as many Daemon experts hunt down Anna for her storage-like powers. And finally, he’s infected with a Daemon particle in his face, meaning that when said particle hatches into a Daemon, he will die in the process. Seriously, it almost looks like as if the world conspires against him.
