• Retroactive Recognition:
  • In "A Caribbean Mystery", Tim Kendall is played by Adrian Lukis, much better known since 1995 as Wickham in the BBC's Pride and Prejudice.
  • In "A Murder Is Announced", Kevin Whateley plays Detective Sergeant Fletcher. Two years later, he would start playing Detective Sergeant Lewis in Inspector Morse.
  • In "They Do It With Mirrors", Keithie is played by a very young Tom Kerridge. Kerridge later quit acting to become a Michelin-starred chef, returning to TV as a judge on Great British Menu and host of his own food programmes.
  • George Bartlett from "The Body in the Library" is played by Arthur Bostrom, who would later be best known for playing Officer Crabtree in 'Allo 'Allo!.
