YMMV / Miranda Cosgrove

Go To

  • Covered Up: In the States, her version of "About You Now" is more popular than the Sugababes version.
  • Genius Bonus: Miranda was a name coined by William Shakespeare from the Latin mirandus (adored, admired). Then comes Miranda's debut album which has "Adored" and a cover of Susan Cagle's "Shakespeare".
  • Les Yay: She is also shipped by fans mainly with her shows' female co-stars like Allison Scagliotti, Jennette McCurdy and Victoria Justice.
  • Memetic Mutation: "I actually do cuss a little." note
  • Narm: "Kissin U" contains the line, "I might die if I forget how to breathe."
  • What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids?: For each one of Miranda's albums, there is at least one song with contextual lyrics that is eye-raising to hear from children who are singing her songs.
    • Her unreleased cover of Christmas Wrapping for the Drake and Josh Christmas special had her say "Damn!" Not that she had spoken such words in School of Rock years before.
    • From the iCarly album, Headphones On is basically a teenage Ridiculous Procrastinator's anthem.
    • In Sparks Fly, the lyrics of Beautiful Mess and What Are You Waiting For lyrics have more adult connotations.
    • The entire High Maintenance album could be Miranda's most defining example for this trope. The highly-saccharine Avril-penned song Dancing Crazy; her punk side for High Maintenance; and of course, the context of Sayonara complete with a sexy Title Drop purr.
