• Unintentional Period Piece:
  • Upon finding out about the theft, Zenigata goes to the booking agent at the Tel Aviv airport and demands a direct flight to Egypt. The desk clerk angrily informs him this is impossible, which it would have most definitely been due to Israeli-Arab tensions in the 1970's when the episode was originally aired.
  • The Japanese version has the ticketing agent accuse Zenigata of being a member of the Japanese Red Army, a splinter Japanese militant communist group started in 1970's Lebanon. They wanted to overthrow the Japanese government and committed various acts of terrorism around the world.
• Values Dissonance: Lupin wears brown-face to disguise himself as a custodian in the Egyptian museum. This would definitely not fly nowadays.
