• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: There is a scene in the second episode where Max is working out at the gym and he pretends to get hurt in an effort to hook up with a girl in the same gym. He then gives her oral sex in a room right outside the gym where someone could easily walk in (but nobody did). We already know since earlier that Max has a tendency for hooking up with random women and have casual sex with them, so this scene doesn’t really fill any real purpose in addition to being very odd.
• Designated Villain: Michelle, and the StreamUs company as a whole, are portrayed as New Media Are Evil people and are technically the antagonists for the show… but they never did anything illegal, or even villainous. All they did was produce a disaster adaptation of a book and buy up the publishing house, which was entirely because of Friedrich's and Ronny's own screw-ups respectively. Friedrich sees their ownership of the publishing house as a threat to literature as a whole, which is quite an exaggeration.
