* GoodBadBugs: ''Lost in Blue'' had a bug in NewGamePlus mode that allowed you to cook a new kind of food and add it to the encyclopedia, and then abuse the save states to restart the game from a prior save with the unused raw ingredients. This was very handy because some raw materials were required for multiple dishes, were extremely rare, and the chances of getting them from a typical forage were entirely random. The rarity of some items starts off rare and then (boar meat we're looking at you) actually increases with story progression, so ''not'' abusing this bug would lead to near-endless [[LevelGrinding grinding]] for HundredPercentCompletion.

* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: Lost in Blue is much less user friendly than Survival Kids was, especially with lower boosts received from food, a second person to care for right from the start, and not being able to start a fire away from home base. Also, actions that used to be as simple as GET CLAM or USE KINDLING are made much slower now that they're minigames.

** ''Lost in Blue 2'' has small traps. While you have to participate in a small minigame to get animals from the traps, anything you catch gives a good amount of hunger restoration even if you split it between Jack and Amy. But the big part is that ''you don't need to wait for the trap to catch anything''. Just activating the trap has a high chance of spawning an animal regardless of how long it's been since you last used it. In addition, the trap can be placed anywhere on the island, including just outside of where you're living.

** On the bad end of things, Serious Survival from the second game has cooked meals provide only half of the normal amount of hunger, despite no longer having your partner to share the other half with. Fortunately, just making lunch boxes allows you to keep the full thing for yourself, just like normal.

** Conversely, those who started with any of the ''Lost in Blue'' games may consider ''Survival Kids'' to suffer from ItsEasySoItSucks because of how much easier it is to survive due to both the insane (especially in comparison) boosts received from food, as well as not having to take care of at least one other character until near the end.

* TheScrappy: Skye from ''Lost in Blue'' has a pretty sizeable hatedom from fans of the games. They often cite her general uselessness both as [[TheLoad an NPC]] -- to the point where she has to be led by the hand to even cross a small stream -- ''and'' [[JokeCharacter a playable character,]] her annoying personality -- both whiny and [[DissonantSerenity delusional enough to act like everything's fine even as you're both dying]] -- and the inherent sexism of making the lone female character in the game [[StayInTheKitchen just cook and otherwise never so much as lift a finger to help herself when you aren't around]].

** ''Lost in Blue'' has spear fishing. Unlike later games where you can only catch crucians, you also have a not-insignificant chance to catch black bass. Notably, the bass restore 26% hunger for ''both'' of the characters.

Added DiffLines:

* GameBreaker: Each game has one, but some are more obvious than the others.
** ''Survival Kids'' has the vegetation. It's ''everywhere'', has random effects ranging from supremely amazing to terrible, and records what effects each type gives (which is great, since they're randomized in each playthrough). Since the odds of finding only unappealing vegetation in an area are low, surviving isn't much of an issue once you have everything else down.
** ''Lost in Blue 2'' has small traps. While you have to participate in a small minigame to get animals from the traps, anything you catch gives a good amount of hunger restoration even if you split it between Jack and Amy. In addition, the trap can be placed anywhere on the island, including just outside of where you're living.
** ''Lost in Blue 3'' has James, so long as you aren't playing as him. When you send him out for food, he returns with meat, ranging from some small animal meat from ''multiple large animal pieces of meat''. While he doesn't carry all four characters by himself, he takes away a lot of the pain of getting food for four people.
