Angst? What Angst?: all the traumatic situation the Suttons go through, they somehow remain sane and normal. this is what makes them a Badass Family
Growing the Beard: As the kids age and become more important to the show's story lines, the quality of episodes noticeably increases.
Too Good to Last: while not an overly high rated show it actually enjoyed increased ratings and popularity each season it was on the air. The network decision to cancel the show remains unpopular to this day. There are petitions on sites such as facebook to bring the such back for another season. Considering the fact that the kids are all grown up and the characters have all moved on this is very unlikely.
Unfortunate Implications: While Lincoln Heights does it's best to deconstruct common stereotypes of African Americans(and does an excellent job of it), it also unintentionally reinforces the belief that blacks and whites live in completely separate worlds and cannot coexist together.
