  • Values Dissonance: Max and Maxine have been described as “kissing cousins” in the Letterland ABC Book. Kissing Cousins nowadays typically refers to cousins in a romantic relationship which is not acceptable nowadays (it was still acceptable in the UK, where the books originated from). Because of this, later editions of Letterland only have Max (as "Fix-It-Max") representing letter X without his cousin Maxine.
