- Misaimed Marketing: A particular case, as in order to promote Dreamzzz, several shorts were made... Specifically of the cast of Ninjago discussing some bizarre and unique dreams they had. While the shorts themselves weren't problematic, the situation was that these shorts were released at a time when news for the upcoming Ninjago series of 2023, later revealed to be Ninjago: Dragons Rising, was hotly anticipated by fans. As a result, a lot of people mistook these shorts as a teaser for something Ninjago-related rather than a whole different series altogether.
- Spiritual Successor: The show is a lot like Midnight Patrol: Adventures in the Dream Zone. Both shows are about imagitive kids who go on all kinds of adventures in Dream Land while fighting a nightmare villain and have all kinds of powers based on what they dream.
- Within the company, it is probably the closest we can get to a reboot of Galidor. A teen whiz protagonist transported to another dimension with help from his friends to fight a character bent on corrupting it sounds awfully familiar.
