- Anvilicious : You can tell the author is a Libertarian (despite the mockery towards the likes of Ayn Rand and Robert A. Heinlein).
- Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: Chapter 25 begins with Mr. Turner blaming the apocalypse on Dinkleberg, who invites him to watch the televised wedding of a vampire couple that has been massacred by zombies. It's bizarre, extreme, features no other characters from the story, contributes nothing to the plot, and only seems to be included for cheap laughs
- Tear Jerker: In Chapter 6, the heroines reminisce on their lost loves.
- Emma spent her spy career waiting for her husband Peter to return. He never did, and when she became a senior she was single and childless.
- Orlando underwent a sex change while pregnant; her unborn child was pushed out of her and crushed, and the sight of this drove her husband Marmaduke to madness. (We learn that she also had three other children, but had to abandon them all.)
- Mina lost her child in a miscarriage, and her husband Jonathan, rather than comforting her, blamed her for not being strong enough. This was the reason for their divorce (which the original comic never clarified). It gets sadder when it's revealed that Jonathan had been corrupted by Nyarlathotep.
- Unexpected Character: Given it's an LXG fic, this in inevitable, but there's two that stands out above the rest:
