• Awesome Music: The entire score composed by Hans Zimmer is considered to be one of the best parts of the feature.
  • Wonderwall's "Touch the Sky" also deserves a mention that plays during the credits.
• Heartwarming Moments:
  • The entire "Stay" sequence, especially when Star and Laura watch the rain together. Such simple images, yet never fail to make one go "d'aaaaw..."
  • The ending, when Star and Laura exchange one last, big hug.
• Tear Jerker: Star losing the last of its light just as Laura fishes it out of the water...or to be more exact, it landed in the water and used what little light it had left to show Laura where it was, so she could at least find it before it faded entirely. And then Laura sobbing as she hugs it to her chest.
• Visual Effects of Awesome: In a time where CGI in animation has started to become more commonplace, most of the film has beautiful visuals and fluid animation. The backgrounds are nothing to scoff at either, with Scenery Porn all around every corner, but what can arguably as the highlight is during Laura takes flight with Star, as well as the ending that's at the galaxy.
