• Unintentionally Sympathetic: Evan Evans is a tyrannical ballet company director who is controlling his dancers' life with an iron fist. The plot starts after one girl, Endrika, is forced to have her baby back while Evans has forbid romantic relationship but the movie seems to side with him: for all the dancers' lovers we have seen, they DID abandon them when they learn they were pregnant, even Evans's own nephew had an illegitimate child before leaving the mother. At one point, Endrika briefly muses on Evans being right about men...
