• Harsher in Hindsight: The Dauterive bloodline is mentioned to be dwindling and has three women (all stated to be widows and one of them being his blood cousin) all pining for Bill, who would rather just make love to them rather than have children to keep the family alive. Then comes the season 11 episode "Blood and Sauce", where it's mentioned all three of them died (while the other Dauterives are either mentally ill, died, barren, or not blood-related), leaving Bill and Gilbert the only surviving Dauterives. And with Bill's hapless luck with women and Gilbert implied to be gay, it appears the Dauterive family is indeed destined to die out.
