- Aluminum Christmas Trees: After Halloween is cancelled by the town council, Judy Harper opens up her "Halleluja House" to show the kids that go inside what happens when they stray from God's path, and exhibits include showing a young adult couple who died from having pre-marital sex, and a gorilla who mauls his granddaughter to death because evolution is taught in schools. This may seem like an overreaction by a religious fanatic like, Judy Harper, to what she sees as sinful behavior, but Christians hell houses are a thing and give regular Halloween haunted houses a run for their money in terms of horrifying their audiences. However, while haunted houses, and haunted hayrides, run on the ideal of Rule of Cool / Rule of Fun, hell houses operate on the idea of instilling a fear of God.
- Genius Bonus: When Junie Harper tries to smugly quote the Bible ("The complacency of fools shall destroy them. Proverbs."), Hank counters with "Get out of my house! Exodus." While it may sound like an intentional misquoting just to get Junie out of the house (or a flimsy excuse to make "Exodus" into a pun on "exit"), that line is more-or-less in the Bible. In Exodus 10:28, the Pharaoh says "Get out of my sight! Make sure you do not appear before me again!" to Moses as he banishes him from his home and demands to never see his face again.
- Suspiciously Similar Song: In keeping with the Peanuts spoof, the music during the flashback of the guys' childhood Halloween is a sound alike of "Linus and Lucy."
