YMMV / King Cobra (1999)

• Fridge Brilliance: Using sleeping gas on Seth makes sense when you realize overdosing on anesthetic is just as lethal as poison and the tube wasn't properly sealed, and thus a lethal dose might have become a survivable one.
• Paranoia Fuel: Seth, a cobra-rattlesnake hybrid, is portrayed as a rather stealthy predator despite its size; in particular, a Catapult Nightmare where the female lead wakes up screaming to find the damn thing right next to her bed is rather freaky.
• Visual Effects of Awesome: Seth, who's brought to life entirely via practical effects, and they're extremely well done, especially for the budget. The head in particular is both incredibly well-detailed with a fully functioning mouth, retractable fangs, emotive eyes, and even a working hood.
