• Diagnosed by the Audience:
  • Angela has been a shut-in for months, is taking medication and seeing a psychiatrist due to being raped some time ago. Her symptoms aside from the severe agoraphobia are unclear (but probably include depression), but we never get any diagnosis. There's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it shot relatively early on that shows her medication labels, which include drugs usually prescribed to treat anxiety.
  • She probably also has some sort of OCD, considering her urge to tidy the bed (to the point of proceeding to do the laundry mere seconds after finishing having sex) or how pissed she is at the idea of skipping a task in her to-do worklist.
  • Her keychain is a puzzle piece, which some viewers also may recognize as the international symbol for Autistic Spectrum Disorders. It can be briefly seen at the beginning of the movie, while she's trying to force herself out of her apartment. All things considered, Angela is probably a Level 1/"high-functioning" autist.
• Paranoia Fuel: Some of the exterior shots are unnerving and shaky, demonstrating Angela's agoraphobia of being afraid to go outside after living in her apartment for some time. It's revealed that this fear was a result of her being raped in the past.
