• Only the Creator Does It Right: Kenka Banchō 3 / Badass Rumble was created without the involvement of YSK's Tomoyuki Matsumoto (director of the first two games), and is regarded by fans as one of the series' worst entries, or at least disappointing compared to its prequels. Matsumoto didn't return to the director's chair until Kenka Banchō 6, which is generally regarded as better than the entries developed by game studio Bullets without his involvement (although he briefly returned as the writer of 4, whose setting is highly reminiscent of 6). Some fans think that the games developed by Bullets significantly improved between 3 and 5, though (with the exception of Kenka Banchō Bros.).
