• Genius Bonus: Twelve bickers with Two rather intensely in their one meeting. Twelve’s appearance was based on the Third Doctor’s, aka the Doctor who famously did not get along with the Second Doctor (and vice versa).
  • Similarly, Jamie mentions that Two seems to get along with "the one with the bowtie". Presumably he means Eleven, who himself was based on Two in appearance and some mannerisms.
• Spiritual Successor: An author’s note clarifies that this work was heavily inspired by the works of Rose of Pollux. Specifically, it seems to have been inspired by Those Who Help Us Most to Grow, as it focuses on a pair of characters who never interacted in canon (Jamie and Clara) and spends a lot of time in Season 6B. And technically, both feature the same overarching antagonist.
