- Fridge Brilliance: Just like in the previous series, the logos of Dreamworks Animation and Amblin Entertainment appear in the teaser as continents on the Universal globe logo, but this time, Universal logo is portrayed normally instead of being portrayed as Pangea, while all three logos have city lights on them. This makes sense, given that dinosaurs are now living on the mainland with humans, hence the change to the opening sequence.
- Improved Second Attempt: A common complaint of Camp Cretaceous is that the children often easily get through situations unscathed, regardless of how dangerous some of the dinosaurs they encounter are. Chaos Theory addresses this by revealing Brooklynn had died, although it is later revealed she is actually still alive, just with a hand bitten off and the main characters unaware of her survival, showing that the kids are just as vulnerable to the dinosaurs and other villains as the characters in the rest of the franchise are.
- Like You Would Really Do It: Not every fan was convinced by Brooklynn's apparent death and theorized that she was still alive, which turned out to be correct, albeit without a hand.
- Salvaged Story:
- After complaints about the Baryonyx in the films being very inaccurate to the real animal, we get a Suchomimus that is fairly accurate to what is known from its fossils (albeit with a few flaws like the jaws being a bit too wide from the front).
- Pachyrhinosaurus was originally going to appear in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, but got renamed to Sinoceratops due to being inaccurately portrayed with a nose horn. This series marks the debut of a proper Pachyrhinosaurus, complete with its namesake boss in place of a horn.
