- Once Original, Now Common: One of the first reality shows to have a major plot twist. Groundbreaking at the time, but it also opened the door for other shows to try even more bizarre concepts.
- Second Season Downfall: The first season was a ratings smash, becoming the #3 show in primetime. The Next Joe Millionaire did nowhere near as well, largely because the audience knew what was coming.
