• Billing Displacement: Alex McLeod, the former host of Trading Spaces, is credited as the "host" of this series but the Opening Narration, the Masterpiece Theatre-inspired scene-setting "fireside chats", interacting with and coordinating the bachelor and the contestants are all left to Paul Hogan (not that one, but the world-famous butler), with McLeod presiding over the elimination segments at the end of each episode and not even appearing anywhere else. (Her on-set nickname was "the Eliminator".) By all rights, Hogan should have been credited as the show's host, not McLeod, and it's telling that the producers of the show prepared a segment showing how much they appreciated Paul in the first season finale.
• Sequel Gap: A third season, Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer, premiered in January 2022, 18 years after the second season ended. Nobody involved with the original production (not even Paul) returned for the revival.
