** Janessa gets sucked out into the vacuum of space... through a fist-sized hole covered by a grate. We don't see her get crushed and shredded, but we do see torn bloody flesh remnants on the grate and the tail end of her nearly liquefied body disappearing into space.

* TearJerker:
** Earth by 2455 is now utterly ''dead'', ruined beyond any recovery. Humanity can never go back to its cradle.
** While one of the goofier sequels, Jason's whole situation is depressing if you really think of it. The camp he devoted his undead life to guarding is long gone, he's been captured by the government to be executed (and later exploited) and then he wakes up 445 years later to find he's ''still'' surrounded by the kind of thoughtless young people he hates so much. After everything he's been through, Jason ''never'' found peace, reduced to an undying shell of his former self with no traces of Mrs. Voorhees' little boy left.
** The fact that Jason's first kill on the spaceship is Adrienne, a young woman who seemed perfectly nice and actually expressed ''sympathy'' towards Jason for his deformity, rather than being grossed out or afraid of it. Sure, a lot of his victims are jerks or morons, but Adrienne wasn't!
** The last four non-Jason deaths all have some weight to them and warrant some InUniverse and out of universe mourning. Two are {{Heroic Sacrifice}}s by selfless characters. One of them is the result of panicky foolishness at the end of a BreakTheCutie arc where the character just looks so scared and miserable. And one sees a character die after multiple {{Hope Spot}}s, one of which causes [[spoiler:her]] to say "Let's go home" in a way that emphasizes how [[spoiler:she]] is just a kid on a field trip caught in a terrifying situation.

Added DiffLines:

* QuirkyWork: Not the film itself but rather the sequel novel ''Death Moon'', in which the author has a habit of [[AuthorFilibuster going on nonsensical rants that have nothing to do with what little story is in the book]]. One part is just pages and pages of the author ranting about ''Film/BrideOfFrankenstein'' star Elsa Lanchester in a disjointed fashion.

* AngstWhatAngst: Rowan was in cryostasis for over 400 years, but she takes it well, even though everything in her past life is now completely gone. Granted, the knowledge that Jason Voorhees is on the Grendel with her would skew priorities away from that.

* FridgeBrilliance: Rowan's attitude of not showing any concern from being in cryostatis for over 400 years can be justified as being in shock. She is initially stunned by the news, though. Then Jason takes her mind off it.
* FridgeLogic: How in the world did Brodski circle around to tackle Jason X from a 90 degree angle?

** "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3Ommf67jlY&feature=related X is the Loneliest Number]]", the end credits theme.
** Though still not on par with the first 6 scores, Harry Manfredini still manages do deliver a score less annoying than its predecessor. The [[https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zK91Tk3tsDk opening theme]] itself has a very epic feel to it.

* {{Narm}}: Kay-Em's new look is a pretty cheesy but also cool, until the line "I gave her an upload!" No, Tsunaron. You gave her an up''grade''.
