- Archive Panic: Their core discography isn't that large, but they have a ton of supplemental releases, including six live albums. Good luck.
- Awesome Music: Has its own page.
- Growing the Beard: Their early stuff is fairly typical sludge metal. They began solidifying their sound on Celestial and really went for gold on Oceanic.
- Harsher in Hindsight: Considering their name is the same as a... terrorist group, they may have picked a bit of a bad name. So much so that they changed the Facebook name of their band to "ISIS the band".
- The concept of Panopticon becomes a lot more disturbing regarding the New Tens where Edward Snowden revealed through classified documents that the government had been watching everyone for a long time. Makes the entire themes of the album a lot more Paranoia Fuel like.
- What Do You Mean, It's Not Political?: Downplayed. While the content of Panopticon unmistakably invites political interpretations, Aaron Turner insists that none were intended and that Isis were not a "political" band. However, he acknowledges that the actions of the George W. Bush administration were an influence on the album.
- Signature Song: "So Did We" or "Holy Tears".
