• Captain Obvious Reveal: Some seasoned viewers thought that the episode’s protagonist being the Lonely Hearts Killer was exactly the kind of twist one would expect from a programme that relies on plot twists, and expected a subversion. Those viewers were disappointed when Vicky did indeed turn out to be the killer.
• Hollywood Pudgy: Vicky is portrayed as somewhat self-conscious about her weight. Lesley and Jai both treat her as if she's fat, when she's not. This is implied to be deliberate, since Lesley is trying to exploit her for a weight-loss MLM scheme, and Jai is a pickup artist.
