• Awesome Music:
  • "Off the Rails" accompanies the fight between Cuphead and Choo Choo Charles, which remains intense all the way through for its nature as a Chase Fight. It manages to keep the swing between Cuphead's music style and a full-blown orchestra of instruments to capture the thrill of the chase.
  • "Bitter Encounter" starts out slow and uneasy to signify the terror Frisk brings with them. It soon picks up with intensity as Madeline demonstrates her abilities in a Chase Fight away from the fallen child.
  • "Porcelain Clash!", the theme used for the fight between Cuphead and Shovel Knight, seamlessly mixes the two's music styles together with rock to signify the intensity of their duel.
  • Serenity, while not heard entirely in-video, captures the carefree and athletic nature of Madeline perfectly, being her own calm between two connected storms (in her case, fending off Frisk and then encountering the Knight shortly after).
  • "Unreal" (formerly dubbed "Ex MΔchina") accompanies the Machine throughout Episode 1, demonstrating how much of a threat it is while the central portal remains open, as demonstrated during its battle with Frisk.^note The name of the track was changed on request from MORO
  • The climax of Episode 1 is accompanied with "Unexpected ATK", which demonstrates tension with the events going on, a Dark Reprise of Megalo Strike Back accompanying Frisk's Implacable Man status as they attempt to strike down the Machine. It concludes on the To Be Continued note once Cuphead and Shovel Knight cross paths with Madeline, the Knight and the now-very low power Machine.
• Visual Effects of Awesome: Episode 1 of the proper series shows quite a lot of this, with all the locations and characters drawn in stunning detail, and the battles showcasing some cool effects in action.
