- Nightmare Fuel: The effects of the Mushroom Virus as well as Mörkö the Boogeyman.
- Another, probably unintentional one, is the corpse bag the funeral director in Open Sewer has you dispose for her. The dude in the bag had a face and everything.
- Unintentionally Unsympathetic: In the final chapter of the game, one of Mark's coworkers lets it slip that she resents Mark for being an alcoholic as well as the star analyst of the engineering firm. While the game creates a kind of camaraderie with Mark's office coworkers, this sudden turn comes off as a little jarring, especially since we get an achievement for finding her.
