• Ass Pull: Aya's Freudian Excuse could be seen as this, as it was given no Foreshadowing until at least the last two chapters.
• Fan-Preferred Couple: Many seem to prefer Teru/Sumino to Hinata/Sumino.
• Iron Woobie: Teru. He comes from a broken family and is convinced he was the cause of his parents' divorce, and he painfully watches as his best friend and the girl who he's been supporting the entire time and is in love with get together. Despite this, he tries to keep an upbeat personality and rarely show his troubles to anyone.
• Moe: Hikage despite having an Informed Deformity, and Mahimahi.
• The Scrappy: Aya, but every series needs an Alpha Bitch. Subverted; she was Rescued from the Scrappy Heap when her Freudian Excuse is revealed.
• Ship Mates: Those who still support Hinata/Sumino, but doesn't like seeing Teru left out in the cold usually pairs him up with Arisa.
