* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation:
** Chitanda suffers from [[AmbiguousDisorder some sort of neurological disorder]] that affects her memory and prevents her from maturing beyond the mentality of a four year old.
** Irisu is emotionally crippled due to being the heir to her family's business, meaning she has to shoulder the burden of running a company before she even graduates from school. The result is that she can't really make any meaningful relationships and comes off as a ManipulativeBitch. She is also secretly jealous of Chitanda's childlike innocence, as she represents the childhood she always wanted but can never have.
* SugarWiki/AwesomeArt: It's Creator/KyotoAnimation, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKX3JPjKj5s&list=UUsvcxby9YSHl3i-eNu51kEQ&index=1&feature=plcp after all]].
* BrokenBase: Opinion on the ending of the anime is split between those fans who thought it ended on a logical and satisfying note to those who were disappointed that none of the [[UnresolvedSexualTension UST]] was adequately resolved. It doesn't help that the novel series itself hasn't finished yet and the anime only adapted it up to the 4th volume.
* CounterpartComparison: Oreki is suspiciously similar to Tatsuya Shiba from the adaptation of LightNovel/TheIrregularAtMagicHighSchool, to the point that they are both voiced by Creator/YuichiNakamura, both are phlegmaticians with abnormally developed deductive thinking and a tendency to verbosity. It becomes even more ridiculous, when both studios independently of each other use almost similar animation for the image of similar scenes with the participation of these characters. And that's not to mention the fact that the show has Creator/SaoriHayami with the name Jumonji, which "belongs to one of the largest clans" of the city, and Satoshi repeatedly complains about the lack of motivation due to the inelegant genius of Oreki.
* HilariousInHindsight: Basically, because of the funny similarities between the protagonists of this show and Mahouka, as already mentioned above.
* EnsembleDarkhorse:
** The Newspaper Club's Masashi Tougaito seems to be relatively popular.
** Misaki Sawaguchi, the girl better known by her OdangoHair who presented a theory to the Classics Club.
** Pay proper respect to our Empress [[ManipulativeBitch Fuyumi Irisu]]!
* FanPreferredCouple: Some popular fan pairings include Oreki x Irisu, Oreki x Mayaka, Eru x Irisu.
* FriendlyFandoms: with LightNovel/TheIrregularAtMagicHighSchool due to incredibly similar protagonists and style of the anime adaptation. This leads to the fact that very many people fans of these series find out about each other when they hear about similar similarities.
* MagnificentBastard:
** Without a doubt, Oreki.
** The Empress, Fuyumi Irisu definitely.
** Episode 17 ''definitely'' cements [[spoiler: Tanabe Jirou]] as one. [[spoiler: He plans and carries out the Jūmonji thefts in an [[PublicSecretMessage elaborate ploy]] to get his student council president, Muneyoshi back into manga drawing. To Tanabe's dismay, It fails.]]
* MemeticMutation: Eru herself, especially her CatchPhrase.
* {{Moe}}: Eru definitely qualifies, and to a slightly smaller extent, Mayaka does as well.
* NightmareFuel:
** Some sequences that help illustrate the analyses [[ArtShift are quite disturbing and somber]].
** The film where we are shown a murdered person with a mutilated arm. Even the boys commented that it looked quite real. It was just a film, but still...
* TheWoobie: [[spoiler:Chitanda's uncle, Jun.]]
** StoicWoobie: [[spoiler:Houtarou]]
** As of the SchoolFestival arc, Mayaka can count as well.
** Episode 17 cements Satoshi as one, as he gets to watch Oreki completely outshine him once again.
