• Alternative Character Interpretation:
  • Is Polly's hesitance in being exclusive with Vicky really her simply being unused to being in a monogamous relationship, or is she afraid of a serious commitment?
• Nightmare Fuel: The events surrounding Vicky's death. In an otherwise light-hearted story chronicling their relationship in their afterlife, how she died stands out as one of the most horrific iterations of the character.
• OT3: After Vicky and Polly invite Isis from Monster Camp into a polyamorous relationship with them.
• Ship Mates: Many fans of AUBL ship many of the characters, but some do not; despite this, everyone is generally amicable and respectful of each other's opinions. On that point, the author, Mod Venus, and the artist, Mod Haven, each ship Vicky with different characters; the former ships her with Damien and the latter ships her with Liam, but the two remain friends and collaborators.
• Strangled by the Red String: Vicky and Polly inviting a third into their relationship is decently built up. Isis being that third comes slightly more out of left field, with the character only having one proper appearance in the blog before this.
• The Woobie:
  • Vicky, by far. Not only were they kidnapped, violated, and murdered, but their body was dismembered for their family to find, and it happened just as they met a guy they really liked, inadvertently getting him killed as well. Then in their afterlife, they find happiness in a relationship with Polly, but they still suffer from serious anxiety, which causes them to pick at their stitches and have low self-esteem. Then their relationship takes a serious bump when Polly accidentally insults them by calling them clingy, then reveals she desires to and/or is still having casual sex with other people outside of the relationship. You just want to give them a hug.
  • Now Isis, as well. Waking up in a glass box, and then later discovering your family is gone/missing, isn't easy.
• Woobie Family: Vicky's family, for obvious reasons.
