 | These are what we call the 'YMMV items.' Things that some people find in this work. We call them 'your mileage might vary' because not everyone sees these things in the same way. YMMV: Hotel Babylon
|
- Adaptation Displacement: The series is based on the book Hotel Babylon, an expose of the hotel industry fictionalized as 24 hours in the life of a receptionist at a luxury 5 star hotel in London. Some characters on the show are taken from the book (Tony, Gino and James), others were created for the show (Anna, Rebecca).
- Big Lipped Alligator Moment: At the end of the series four opening episode, the main characters dress in costume and perform a Bollywood dance number
- Also arguably James' impromptou boogie to 'Love is in the Air', the morning after a successful date.
