• Accidental Innuendo: More modern audiences with dirty minds find the title of this short pretty amusing.
• Bizarro Episode: This episode is one of the darkest and edgiest episodes in the series, with even Matt Groening admitting that it is the most horrifying thing he has ever seen in a cartoon, let alone a CHILDREN'S cartoon.
• Fanon Discontinuity: Many fans of Tom and Jerry prefer to pretend that this episode doesn't exist thanks to its premise being very different from the standard short expected out of this series.
• Ron the Death Eater: This episode is a huge inspiration for fans who demonize Jerry as the antagonist. Specifically, it's claimed that Jerry refused to sign Tom's Certificate of Forgiveness for the purpose of condemning him to Hell. While he did tear the certificate to pieces at one point, him declining to sign it was mostly implied to be out of disbelief, him destroying it was only motivated by Tom attempting to invoke Food as Bribe, and he eventually signed it with no hesitation as soon as he saw Tom's fate if he didn't do so. (And besides, all of this only happened in Tom's dream.)
