• Fanon Welding: Some fans depict the events of this game taking place in the same universe as the original Jumpman.
• Older Than They Think: The plot, which states that Otto has planted bombs around Space Station Icarus and Hap Hazard has to stop him, isn't entirely new. The original Jumpman's manual features a similar plot, which has you collecting bombs that were planted on Jupiter's moon by a terrorist.
• Scrappy Mechanic:
  • The timer counts down much faster that a real life timer would, which does not help with the fact that it's very easy to die rapidly.
  • There's no way to get extra lives in Survival Mode, not even with the bonuses that give you extra time in the other modes.
