- Catharsis Factor: After spending so much of the second season as a Butt-Monkey, it's incredibly satisfying to see Jimmy- after being told by his boss that his father would be ashamed of him- respond with a blunt "Fuck you" before quitting.
- Les Yay: Ava and Deborah loathe each other. But slowly begin to come to terms with each other. Ava even has a sex dream about Deborah.
- Portmanteau Couple Name: The most popular ship in the fandom is Ava/Deborah, who a lot of fans have taken to calling "Avorah".
- Shipping: Most of the fandom ships Deborah and Ava together, due to their chemistry and the fact that their dynamic is the focus of the show. It doesn't hurt that Ava has a sex dream about Deborah at one point.
- Tear Jerker: Ava reading to Deborah the scathing e-mail she sent to the English producers. Ava grows tearful and begs Deborah not to let her continue, but Deborah orders her to do so until she has heard enough.
