• Most Wonderful Sound: The opening credits play a jaunty, special instrumental version of the theme tune, which is a ballad.
• Suspiciously Similar Song: Plenty of viewers think the soundtrack original song "Ikaw Na Na Na" sounds a whole lot like "Treasure" by Bruno Mars or maybe "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk — not that it's diminished their enjoyment of the song.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Juliana. She conspires with Matilda to ruin Chichay’s scholarship, but it’s somehow treated as not the classist crime that it is just because Juliana’s motive was her grudge against Chichay’s mother Betchay. Even worse, Betchay has done absolutely nothing wrong against Juliana. It was Betchay who got cheated on when Juliana and Jaime drunkenly had sex, and when they meet again when they’re older, Betchay firmly establishes boundaries around Jaime and even nudges him and his wife closer. Jaime being in love with Betchay still despite her objections is not in any way her fault, and Juliana repeatedly scheming and coercing Jaime into “loving” her can frequently seem like downright abuse. Yet Juliana never receives any real consequences for her awfulness, because she’s just so sad.... Never mind that she’s a fully grown woman whose manipulative streak has literally caused her teenage son to attempt suicide. She’s even rewarded with a wedding in the conclusion, to the very man she’s coerced into staying married.
