- Hollywood Game Design: In Real Life, Karma Story Online would be considered a rather poorly designed MMO.
- If killed, all NPCs will die permanently while players will resurrect, and there is nothing preventing NPCs from being attacked, even in the starting town with a character that serves as a tutorial NPC. Realistically, players would have likely already killed off the game's entire NPC population by the end of launch week.
- Levels might as well be largely cosmetic as nothing stops a level 1 player from instantly decapitating higher-level players, none of whom incidentally seem to wear any sort of headgear unlike most MMO games.note
