• Harsher in Hindsight: Robb's executing Lord Karstark, knowing that this act ultimately ends up dooming his entire campaign. The loss of the Karstarks eliminates any chance that Robb has of defeating the Lannisters with his remaining forces, and leads to his ultimately disastrous decision to seek an alliance with the Freys.
• Narm: During the early part of Jaime's speech about how he killed the Mad King, he's sticking his stump out of the water, with the bandages wrapped around it in such a way that it ends up looking like some kind of sock puppet. It says everything about the speech's power (and it helps that they cut to a different camera angle before Jaime goes into the main body of the speech) that this does very little to detract from what's widely considered one of the best scenes in the show's entire run, even if you do spend the first minute or so expecting Jaime to have his puppet explain why grown-ups sometimes need to put a sword through the back of the person they're sworn to protect.
