- Awesome Art: Massive praise has been given to the manga due to the artwork by Kei Urana. She was an assistant in Fire Force and the influence of Ookubo's own heavily stylized and detailed art style can be seen here.
- Jerkass Woobie: Amo seems initially like a Psychopathic Manchild who plays with people. However, after fighting with her and learning her backstory, it's hard not to see her as just a mentally ill victim of sexual abuse whose upbringing and loneliness caused her to lash out. And that is not getting into how, right after she started getting better, she is attacked by Jabber.
- Nightmare Fuel: Amo's backstory in chapter 40: she was a child when she got sold by her mother to a man who trapped her in a tower, groomed, and raped her; which she mistookly understood as being love, which led to her current, messed up persona.
- What Do You Mean, It's Not Political?:
- There is a Parasite (2019)-esque critique of class here where an upper class mistreats a lower class and teaches them to shame each other, both classes being unaware that there is an even lower class. Furthermore, the upper class (and the one in the middle) seem downright ignorant of how their actions make the lives of the classes below them even more miserable and hard.
- Furthermore, one can argue the story has a Green Aesop with its pro-recycling protagonist.
