Making this a bit less natter-y.

* BrokenBase: Despite Brockie's wish for the band to continue after his death, there are still some fans who insist that the addition of Blothar and Vulvatron is a disgrace to the name of GWAR. Keep in mind that various characters have been portrayed by different people over GWAR's history (even as a joke band opening up for themselves), and that when the exact same situation happened earlier with the passing of Cory Smoot, not too many fans raised a huge stink.
** The latter point can be (more or less) justified when one remembers that Oderus literally ''was'' the FaceOfTheBand -- almost every interview of the band featured him, he was the only character consistently played by the same person, and let's face it -- he couldn't open his mouth without saying something so completely ridiculous that it made everyone either crack up or foam at the mouth with rage; there was ''no'' in-between.
** The broken base appears to have been healed with the release of “Blood of Gods,” which showed that neither the band nor Michael Bishop had lost their touch.
