• Accidental Innuendo: At the beginning of Week 2, Girlfriend says to Boyfriend that she's looking for two kids (Skid & Pump) who usually sing in the place they were heading, in order for him to continue his singing practice, to which BF asks: "Kids...?", as he's confused to the fact that he's going to sing against children. Thing is, BF's sprite during this scene while asking this is that of him drooling and looking dumb, as if he's thinking...something else. The fact that this is the only time this dialogue sprite is used in the entire mod makes it even more darkly hilarious.
• Nightmare Fuel: While the canon Monster is a heaping dose of grotesque Black Comedy, MIX Monster is twice the black with none of the comedy — his appearance changes the mood of the mod from lighthearted to dire in an instant. The atmosphere of "S.O.S." and "Sickly Sour" are dark and tense, the former aided by Lila trying to escape Monster's goop as she's forced to sing, reaching out in one pose and clutching at her throat in another, the latter from just how relentless Monster is, throwing everything at Boyfriend in their first encounter and looking gleefully deranged as he does so. The massive health drain in "Sickly Sour" only adds to the feeling, as the player is constantly on the verge of death, showing just how unmatched both they and the characters themselves are to this thing.
• That One Level: In addition to this Monster being far more terrifying than canon, he's also much, much harder. "Sickly Sour" is an almost constant, fast onslaught of notes, and the level's massive health drain means the player is always going to be right at death's door when Boyfriend's turn rolls around; combine this with frequent duets between Monster and Boyfriend, multiple points where the player's chart is suddenly barraged with arrows, and a whooping 3 minute song when the mod's OST usually caps at around a minute, and the demons aren't the only thing from Hell.
