YMMV / Front Mission 2

Go To

  • Demonic Spiders: Those hovering Tatou units can be a major source of pain. They first show up in Mission 4 and afterwards appear regularly until late game. They are fast and agile, being able to move 5 squares per turn (compared to the player's units, who most likely can only move 3 to 4 squares per turn). On top of that, all of them have arms with powerful built-in knuckles. With melee weapons costing little to no AP in this game, they can almost always counter attack whenever the player feels like taking them on in close quarter. When those knuckles hit, it hurts. Not helping matters is that long-range weapons are rather underpowered in this game, making it hard to take them out without ever using melee or short attacks.
  • Good Bad Bugs: The Teleportation Glitch allows the player to move a selected unit within the displayed movement range of an enemy unit, allowing them to trivialize distance as an irrelevant factor and reach units that would otherwise be unreachable as the designers intended them to be. The glitch was patched out in the Front Mission History and Square Enix's Ultimate Hits 2005 rerelease versions.
  • Harsher in Hindsight:
    • The coup in Alordesh is a stark reminder of coups that has taken place in Bangladesh.
    • It can be viewed as such for anyone who's lived/worked in a country that has been under/underwent a military-based coup.
