YMMV / From Shizune's Perspective

• Alternate Character Interpretation: The author’s belief that Shizune and Misha snark at each other in sign-language-only conversations can be seen as this. This is less present in the times you can see Shizune addressing Misha with sign language in her route.
• Harsher in Hindsight: Several plot twists, especially considering the fic was written before the full game was released.
  • Shizune, as a bisexual, confessed to Misha, who is heterosexual, and gets rejected. In Shizune’s route, the reverse happened and is the main source of tension between Shizune and Misha late in the route
  • In the fic, Shizune is very upset to find out that Misha and Hisao’s relationship has progressed to where they’re having sex. In her route, Hisao choosing to give Misha Sex for Solace leads to the bad ending due to their guilt over the act- Shizune never even finds out.
  • Late in the fic, Shizune tells Emi how much she is Locked Out of the Loop because of her deafness. In her route, she’s revealed to be quite lonely because of her communication problems.
  • Shizune once tells Misha "eat (her)", only to be told that Misha isn’t into girls. In the full game, Misha takes Shizune’s rejection and continued presence in her life much harder than Shizune does for Misha in this fic.
• Heartwarming in Hindsight: Shizune comes around in the end and concludes that Misha would not sleep with Hisao just to hurt her and that she does love him. This is made more touching when you consider how Misha, in the end of Shizune’s route, comes to terms with Shizune’s relationship with Hisao
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Emi tells Shizune that the track team captain being a lesbian is something people would know about, but Shizune does not as a result of being deaf and excluded from school gossip. In Emi’s route, the captain, a potential rival for Hisao, turns out to be gay.
• Ships That Pass in the Night: Shizune and Emi only speak in one scene, one that happens if you do not go out to lunch with Lilly and Hanako.
• The Woobie: Shizune, whose lack of social graces and somewhat abrasive personality also causes her to border on Jerkass Woobie. The fic explores impact her disability has on socializing with others, as well as other's perspectives on her actions, and shows how much more difficult many things can be for Shizune.
