• Alternative Character Interpretation: Kotori strikes Nico as "the most skeptical about (Eli and Hanayo's) relationship," but is shocked to hear that the relationship has turned abusive and is hesitant to believe it until she obtains evidence. She even later admits that a part of her hoped that Eli and Hanayo would break up, but never wanted things to turn out the way they did. Was Kotori's attitude simply due to jealousy of Eli for getting together with the girl she loved, or is it possible that Kotori might have had some legitimate concerns about the relationship?
• Gotta Ship 'Em All: The fic pairs up every single member of μ's with each other. Apart from Hanayo/Eli and later, Hanayo/Kotori, there's Nico/Nozomi, Umi/Honoka and Maki/Rin.
• Heartwarming Moments:
  • After enduring an abusive relationship for a long time, Hanayo finds a Second Love in Kotori.
  • Even after everything Eli's done, her sister and her friends still care for her, and refuse to give up on her.
• Jerkass Woobie: Eli's drinking problem ends up ruining her life and her relationship with Hanayo, but in the end, she is still responsible for her choices.
• Tear Jerker:
  • Hanayo's plight at the start of the fic, being trapped in an abusive relationship with someone she used to love. Things get worse before they get better, which is a sad reminder that for some people in her situation, things never get any better.
  • The fic's description of how far Eli has changed since her high school days. In some fics, a character like her going from the responsible Student Council President to a hard-drinking Domestic Abuser would be a case of Ron the Death Eater, but here, it's a tragic testament to how far Eli has fallen.
  She didn’t want to face her friends right now and she knew she wouldn’t want to for a while, until she sorted herself out and until she was clean, not matter how long it took. Maybe she would take some visitors, she knew that Maki would want to check up on her, even if it required managing to salvage a sliver a time off work. The others would probably need time to mull over how they felt in their head. And Eli couldn’t blame them, she would feel the exact same way if it was someone else within the group. But alas, it had been her. From the reliable school council president, to an abusive drunkard.
  • While Eli acknowledges that her relationship with Hanayo is over, and that Hanayo is happier with Kotori, a part of her still is in love with Hanayo.
• The Woobie: Hanayo endures an incredible amount of physical and emotional pain over the course of this fic.
