YMMV / Five Nights in Anime

Go To

  • Awesome Art: Say whatever you want about the game, but the drawings do look like those of an anime.
  • Moral Event Horizon: The Phone Girl can cross it in the third game if the player ignores her first call and then tells her "You're no lady I want to talk to", at which point the Phone Girl will cut the power off, leaving the player to a certain death.
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • Fredbear's jumpscare in the third game lacks any of the traits of all the other "jumpscares" in the series, making it an actual, serious jumpscare.
    • The fact that in the third game the Phone Girl is willing to let the player die just for them being rude to her is quite creepy. Not helped by the fact Fredbear is the one to kill the player in this scenario.
  • Nintendo Hard: It's similar to the first Five Nights at Freddy's (complete with power management), except the player now has to deal with both Foxy and Mangle, Spring Bonnie, and a more aggressive Golden Freddy. Oh, and in the second game, Freddy doesn't appear in the office before killing you, so good luck managing your flashlight! Also, the Puppet doesn't have a music box, and acts just like Golden Freddy! There's also a phone mechanic in the second game, which is used to lure Spring Bonnie and Golden Freddy back into the closet.
  • Popular with Furries: The original franchise was already well-liked by the Furry Fandom. Needless to say this game has also garnered the interest of the fandom, although interestingly not to the same level as the source material.
