- Cult Classic: Despite both the poor box office and critical response when it came out, the movie has fans who do enjoy it as a zany romp that gets some mileage off of its premise and has a few memorable moments here and there—and people also likely sought it out thanks to director Will Gluck helming a better received and admired film, Easy A, the next year too.
- Retroactive Recognition: A lot of supporting and background actresses in this movie went on to more notable projects afterwards. For example, Heather Morris can be seen as a Panther dancer (in addition to being Carly's stunt double). Another would be Francia Raisa as well.
- So Bad, It's Good: The film is a comedy about two guys who decide to join a cheerleader camp just to get laid by the cheerleaders. Despite the cheerleaders pointing out how wrong this is leading to a third act conflict, there are a few funny jokes such as "We! Are crashing! We! We! Are crashing!" when one of the guys asks if they died and went to heaven.
- Strangled by the Red String: Shawn falls for Carly so suddenly that even he can't list a reason for liking her beyond normal facts. Nick even seems to lampshade it.Shawn: That time I saw her reading that book. She orders pudding for dessert.Nick: Now you're just listing things people do!Shawn: Sometimes she writes with a pencil.
